Cruel Intentions is a seductive and manipulative drama that follows the lives of step-siblings Kathryn Merteuil and Sebastian Valmont. These two characters always get precisely what they want, whenever they want it. The story takes a thrilling turn when Kathryn makes a bet with Sebastian. She challenges him to seduce Annette, the daughter of their school's headmaster, before the summer break ends. Annette, who values love and marriage before intimacy, seems like a challenging target. If Kathryn wins the bet, she will be the proud owner of Sebastian's prized vintage 1959 Jaguar Roadster. However, if Sebastian succeeds, he will finally have the one girl that he knows he could never have - Kathryn.
As the plot unravels, the lives of other characters are also entangled in this dangerous game. Cecile, a naive girl, becomes a pawn in Kathryn and Sebastian's plot for revenge against Kat's ex-boyfriend, who left her for Cecile.
