In the movie Wild Target (2010), Victor Maynard is a highly skilled and efficient assassin who lives to please his demanding mother. However, his routine is disrupted when he becomes infatuated with one of his targets, Rose, and chooses to spare her life. In doing so, he unexpectedly gains a young apprentice named Tony.

Victor's new companions mistake him for a private detective and decide to stick around, much to his annoyance. Meanwhile, he must also navigate the dangerous situation of his unhappy client, who is determined to see his target eliminated.

As Victor tries to protect Rose and keep his true profession a secret, he finds himself becoming increasingly attached to both her and Tony. Together, the unlikely trio embarks on a series of misadventures and escapes, forming an unusual bond along the way.
