Summary:
In Wallander 24: Arvet (2010), the murder of Manfred Stjarne outside the Brada cider factory sets off a series of events that uncover a web of deceit and secrets. Manfred's wife Claire, who has recently inherited the factory, becomes the prime suspect in his murder. Further investigation reveals that Manfred was having an affair with the wife of Polish worker Jan Kowalski, who is later found hanged. However, new evidence suggests foul play in Jan's death.
As the case progresses, another murder occurs, mimicking the way Manfred was killed, making former disgruntled employees of the factory potential suspects. The investigation takes a turn when a third murder implicates a former patient of Benjamin Wilkes, an ex-psychologist who collaborated with Manfred in selecting redundancy candidates. This patient also happens to have connections to the Stjarne family.
Meanwhile, Isabelle and Pontius, two members of the investigation team, find themselves growing closer and begin to engage in romantic activities while on surveillance duties.
