they arrive home, they find their neighbor, Irene, waiting for them. Raimunda is shocked because she had believed her mother to be dead. Irene explains that she faked her own death in order to escape her abusive and alcoholic husband. Raimunda and Sole agree to keep Irene's reappearance a secret and help her start a new life.
As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Raimunda's husband was responsible for the death of Irene and her husband in the fire years ago. Raimunda killed him in self-defense and hid his body in a freezer. Raimunda's friend Agustina also has a dark secret - she was sexually abused by her father and now has a terminal illness.
