Around the time that the chief of police is elected the Most Popular Citizen of Valleby, a thief and impostor is released after two decades in jail and returns to the town with a revenge plan in mind.

Lasse and Maja are two kids who run a detective bureau. As the film starts, kids find a chest made by the composer Alexander von Broms in the local-church crypt, with a cryptic message attached to it. The chest appears to solve the church's financial problems; it's in urgent need of restoration. But when von Broms' relatives appear and claim that the chest is theirs, a conflict emerges. A few hours later, the chest gets stolen and Lasse and Maja tries to find it. The adventure begins in the city of Valleby with its surreal surroundings. There are puzzles to be solved and mysteries to be revealed and the whole family can join in.

It's late summer in the small town of Valleby, but the calm is disrupted by bad news. The police station is under threat to be closed, which neither Lasse, Maja nor the chief of police wants. They must find a way to solve the situation.

Sleepy Valley gets ready for cafe owners Dino and Panini Sara Bernard's wedding, and our beloved junior detectives Lasse and Maja stand ready to ensure that nothing goes wrong. But when the wedding couple's respective relatives arrive, they show themselves to belong to rival Mafia families. When the Panini family's crown jewels suddenly disappear, Lasse and Maja soon realize who the main suspects are.

Kid detectives Lasse and Maja put their crime-solving skills to the test for the first time when a valuable, ancient text is stolen.

A factory town is covered by chimney smoke, and as the townspeople haven't see the sky in centuries, they no longer believe that stars exist. A chimney sweep and a friendly monster named Poupelle decide to prove that stars are real.

Sara and Naranbayar, a princess and young man from either country who meet by chance, and find that they must act as a couple to maintain peace in their realms. Even so, they find that they slowly fall for each other.

Every night a shepherd reads aloud a murder mystery, pretending his sheep can understand. When he is found dead, the sheep realize at once that it was a murder and think they know everything about how to go about solving it.

A wolf and mountain lion team up when a meteor unleashes a virus turning zoo animals into zombies. They join forces with other survivors to rescue the zoo and stop the deranged mutant leader from spreading the virus.
