In the rugged and picturesque South Island of New Zealand, a 12-year-old girl named Tui Mitcham goes missing. She is already five months pregnant and refuses to reveal the identity of the father. Sydney detective Robin Griffin, specializing in crimes against minors, is called in to investigate. Reluctantly returning to her hometown and her troubled past, Robin becomes determined to find Tui.
