In Tom of Finland, viewers are transported to post-World War II Finland, where Touko Laaksonen, a war hero, returns home only to encounter a distressing reality. In order to find solace and freedom, Touko turns to his art. His drawings depict homoerotic scenes featuring muscular men, embracing their sexuality without inhibition. These powerful artworks, which he signs as 'Tom of Finland,' quickly become a symbol for a whole generation of men and ignite the flames of a gay revolution.
