The Sweeney (2012) follows the story of Jack Regan, a seasoned but unorthodox cop known for his rough methods. Little does Lewis know that Regan is involved in an affair with his young wife, policewoman Nancy.

As a result, Regan is temporarily imprisoned and stripped of his position. However, his loyal protégé George Carter and his superior Frank Haskins manage to use their influence to secure his release.
