In the movie The Dog Who Saved Summer, the Bannister family is having a challenging summer. Their dog Zeus has destroyed a party and Grandma suggests sending him to obedience school. However, Zeus struggles to pass any of the lessons, and the school's strict instructor Vernon and his K-9 assistant Apollo make things even more difficult. Worried that Zeus may end up in the pound, the Bannister children Kara and Ben are desperate to help him improve.
Zeus finds an unlikely ally in the janitor, Mr. Lee, who teaches him unique training methods. With his newfound skills, Zeus hopes to win the top dog prize at the school's showcase and defeat a trio of inept thieves who are causing trouble that summer. Will Zeus succeed and save the family's summer from turning into a disaster?
