Don Fabijan is a youthful priest who is newly assigned to a small island in the Adriatic. One of the challenges faced by the island is a declining birth rate. To address this issue, Don Fabijan hatches a plan to increase the number of births by secretly piercing condoms before they are sold to couples.
Don Fabijan enlists the help of Petar, the local newsagent, and Marin, the pharmacist, to implement his plan. Together, they ensure that all forms of birth control are abolished on the entire island. However, as their scheme progresses, they soon realize that the consequences are not as simple as they initially thought.
