When Julius Cesar fears, that he will probably never be able to defeat the gaulic village of Asterix and his friends, he has the idea of offering the Gauls a deal: if they are able to solve twelve tasks that he selected, he will hand over the Roman empire to them. If not, they have to submit.

When Getafix becomes an amnesiac lunatic after being struck by Obelix's menhir, Asterix tries to cure him, all while his fellow villagers are being conned by a phony soothsayer.

Asterix and Obelix join the Roman Legions to rescue Obelix's crush Panacea and her fiance Tragicomix, who have been kidnapped to appease Julius Caesar.

In the year 50 BC Gaul is occupied by the romans - nearly. But the small village of Asterix and his friends still resists the Roman legions with the aid of their druid's magic potion, which gives superhuman strength. Learning of this potion, a Roman centurion kidnaps the druid to get the secret formula out of him.

The diminutive Asterix and his rather larger companion Obelix, warriors of the last village in Gaul still free after the Roman invasion, set out on a mission to deliver a barrel of their druid's famous magic potion to help Asterix's cousin in Britain fight off the invading Roman army.
