In Speed 2: Cruise Control, a computer hacker infiltrates the computer system of the luxurious Seabourn Legend cruise liner. With control over the ship's operations, the hacker sets it on a course for disaster by accelerating towards a massive oil tanker. As chaos ensues on board, Annie, a young woman who is about to embark on a romantic getaway with her boyfriend Alex, finds herself caught in a race against time to save the passengers and stop the collision.
As the ship hurtles through treacherous waters, Annie teams up with the ship's resourceful mechanic, Juliano, to overcome numerous obstacles and prevent the imminent disaster.
