Race is a historical drama film set in the 1930s, following the inspiring journey of African American athlete Jesse Owens. As the first person in his family to attend college, Owens joins Ohio State University to train under the guidance of coach Larry Snyder. Meanwhile, German film director Leni Riefenstahl clashes with her country's Propaganda Minister, Josef Goebbels, as she captures the politically sensitive event for posterity.
