In Mud (2012), two young boys, Ellis and Neckbone, stumble upon a mysterious fugitive named Mud on a deserted island in the Mississippi River. Mud informs them that he is on the run from some dangerous vigilantes and is desperate to reunite with his true love, Juniper.
