Summary:
Puck Ekstedt, a literature student, is excited to spend Midsummer with her supervisor Rutger and his wife on an isolated island. She is also intrigued by the presence of historian Einar Bure at the gathering. However, upon arriving at the island, Puck discovers a group of young people whose lives are intertwined from their student days.
Tensions quickly arise within the group, with both erotic and distressing undercurrents. The situation becomes more complicated when Rutger's former fiance Marianne Wallman arrives unexpectedly, accompanied by her girlfriend Viveka Stensson.
