Long Weekend (2008) is a thrilling movie that follows the troubled marriage of Peter and Carla. The couple's relationship is filled with constant friction and dissatisfaction. In an attempt to reignite their failing marriage, Peter decides to buy expensive camping gear and plans a trip to the isolated Moondah Beach in the North Coast, against Carla's wishes. Joining them on this journey are Peter's friend Luke and his girlfriend.
As they embark on their camping adventure, they encounter rainy weather which only exacerbates the tension between Peter and Carla. Along the way, Peter makes a stop at the Eggleston Hotel and leaves a message for Luke with the pub's owner. However, things take a turn for the worse when Peter decides to take a supposed shortcut to the beach, resulting in the couple getting lost.
With no other option, Peter and Carla spend the night sleeping in their SUV. The following morning, Peter tries to salvage the situation by setting up the campsite, but their intrusive behavior and mistreatment of the natural environment start to have consequences.
