Knocked Up is a heartfelt comedy that follows the unexpected pregnancy of Alison Scott, an ambitious woman who works in television. After her promotion, she decides to celebrate at a club with her sister, Debbie. It is at the club that she meets Ben Stone, a carefree and irresponsible guy who is also a pothead.

Alison and Ben strike up a conversation, and while they initially appear to have nothing in common, they end up spending the entire night together, drinking and dancing. In their intoxicated state, they have a one-night stand, without using any protection.

Eight weeks later, Alison discovers that she is pregnant and decides to inform Ben about the situation. They both agree to try and make their unconventional relationship work for the sake of the baby. However, Ben realizes that he needs to make some serious changes in his life in order to be a responsible father and partner. He embarks on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, striving to become the person he needs to be in order to raise a family.
