Keeping Mum is a quirky British comedy that follows the chaotic lives of the seemingly perfect Goodfellow family. Reverend Walter Goodfellow, played by Rowan Atkinson, is a devoted pastor who is oblivious to the fact that his wife, Gloria, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, is having an affair with her golf instructor Lance, portrayed by Patrick Swayze.
As Walter becomes engrossed in preparing a crucial sermon, his teenage daughter Holly experiments with drugs and his young son Petey faces bullying at school. Just when it seems like their lives couldn't get any more chaotic, a new housekeeper named Grace arrives, played by Maggie Smith, who has a knack for solving problems by rather unconventional means.
