Årets julvärd för SVT, David Batra, bjuder tittarna in till en traditionell och mysig julafton framför TV:n. Efter att Batra tänt det första ljuset är det dags för Kalle Anka och hans vänner att sprida julkänsla och önska en riktigt God Jul. Programmet innehåller som vanligt flera klassiska inslag från Tomtens verkstad, där tittarna får en inblick i den hektiska verksamheten inför julafton. Sedan får vi följa med Kalle Anka på en äventyrlig resa till djungeln där vi möter spännande och roliga karaktärer. Snövit och de sju dvärgarna tar oss med till den magiska sagovärlden och Ferdinand och Musse Pigg tar med oss på en campingutflykt tillsammans med deras vänner. För att förgylla tittarnas julafton kommer det även att visas två helt nya filmer. Det är viktigt att notera att programmet endast kan ses som en direktsändning, med start klockan 15.00 på julafton. Det kommer alltså inte att vara möjligt att se Kalle Anka och hans vänner önskar god jul i efterhand. Så varför inte samla familjen framför TV:n och njuta av den perfekta starten på julafton?
