Summary:
Harry Brown is a retired Royal Marine living a lonely life in England. He spends most of his time at the hospital, caring for his terminally ill wife, Kath, and playing chess with his only friend, Leonard Attwell, at the Barge pub owned by Sid Rourke.
After Kath's death, Leonard reveals that a local gang has been harassing him, and he resorts to carrying an old bayonet for self-defense. Harry advises Leonard to go to the police, but when Leonard is brutally beaten and stabbed to death in an underground passage, Harry realizes that justice will not be served through the legal system.
Inspector Alice Frampton and Sergeant Terry Hicock are assigned to investigate Leonard's murder but can't find any evidence other than the bayonet to link the gang to the crime. This means that the gang would claim self-defense if the case went to trial.
Realizing that the police are unable to bring the perpetrators to justice, Harry takes matters into his own hands. He becomes a vigilante, targeting the gang members and seeking revenge for Leonard's death.
As Harry goes on his mission to root out and eliminate the gang members, he is forced to confront the violent and brutal realities that plague his community. The film explores themes of justice, vengeance, and the dark side of society.
With intense action sequences and powerful performances, Harry Brown highlights the struggle of an ordinary man pushed to extraordinary measures to seek justice in a broken system.
