Robert Dean, a lawyer in Washington D.C., becomes entangled in a dangerous web of surveillance and corruption in the movie Enemy of the State (1998). Dean is unknowingly caught up in a high-stakes game when he accidentally receives a tape that contains evidence of a politician, Thomas Reynolds, orchestrating a murder. As a result, Dean finds himself targeted by a team of NSA agents led by Reynolds.
