On a desolate, windswept island, Stella and Oskar, a young couple, visit her father Nathan who lives a simple solitary life in the company of his Labrador dog. However, Stella and Nathan's relationship isn't exactly normal.

Rasmus and his three friends are tired of women's dominance in society. They try to get absolution for more hands-on political actions from a popular author and spokesman for preserving the patriarchy, Thomas Løwert.

St. Croix, the Danish West Indies, 1848. Anna and Petrine are close friends. Both are women of color, but Anna is free and owns her housekeeper, the enslaved Petrine. Things are seemingly fine until rumors of a rebellion begin to swirl.

Follows a celebrity financier who ends up in prison. After being assaulted by a gang of bikers in the prison, he ops for voluntary solitary confinement. During this time he joins the choir, aiming for the top of it's hierarchy.

JOHANNES lives together with his father, the middle-aged widower ULRIK in a small fishing town in the northern part of Denmark. They live a quiet routine life, each minding their separate jobs in the fishing industry. Ulrik misses the love and tenderness of a woman and arranges for the young, beautiful, Filipino ROSITA to come to Denmark - just as many other men in the town have done before him. Johannes is reluctantly drawn into this as Ulrik's translator. However, over the following weeks Johannes and Rosita are getting more and more attracted to each other which forces Johannes to take responsibility for his dreams and his future.
