Delivery Man is a heartwarming comedy-drama that follows the story of David Wozniak, a man who is known for his irresponsible and unreliable behavior. This has strained his relationship with his family and his girlfriend, who becomes pregnant and decides to raise the child alone.
However, David's life takes an unexpected turn when a lawyer informs him that he had been a prolific sperm donor over twenty years ago, fathering over 500 children. Now, more than 100 of these biological children want to know his identity, but a confidentiality agreement prevents this from happening. To his surprise, they decide to take their case to court to overturn the agreement.
David’s lawyer assures him that they have a strong chance of winning, but when he receives information about the children who want to meet him, David decides to secretly visit one of them, without revealing his true identity. As he begins to connect with some of his other children in the same way, he starts to form meaningful relationships with them.
However, his actions jeopardize the legal case and the potential settlement that could solve his financial problems, as he owes money to some intimidating individuals.
