However, he hopes that his newfound relationship with Anna, a French actress, will help him navigate love and happiness.
After Georgia's death, Hal surprises Oliver by coming out as gay and embracing a more vibrant and joyful lifestyle. He even enters into an open relationship with a younger man named Andy. This newfound joy and freedom inspire Oliver to pursue a loving relationship with Anna.
However, their relationship faces obstacles such as Anna's nomadic lifestyle and Oliver's responsibility to care for Arthur, Hal's former Jack Russell terrier who has high needs. Oliver must navigate these challenges while also coming to terms with his own grief and the complexities of his parents' lives.
Beginners is a heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and self-discovery. Through Oliver's experiences, the film examines the transformative power of embracing one's true identity and the importance of finding happiness even in the face of adversity.
