In the isolated mountain town of Pleasant Springs, five strangers find themselves entangled in a web of suspicion and fear when a masked murderer begins targeting the residents. Among the group are newlyweds who are actually serial killers, a depressed and suicidal police officer, and two young runaways with a mysterious secret. As the townspeople panic and accuse each other, the group realizes they must work together to survive.
The newlyweds, Paul and Laura, appear as a normal couple on the surface but secretly take pleasure in killing. Meanwhile, the local police officer, Mark, battles his own demons as he contemplates suicide. When the two young runaways, Sarah and Jacob, stumble upon the town with a dangerous secret, they inadvertently become involved in the chaos.
