Details
In Army of Darkness (1992), the story follows Ash, who is unexpectedly transported to the year 1,300 A.D. Upon arrival, he is immediately captured by Lord Arthur and his troops, alongside Duke Henry the Red and a few others, and is forced into slavery. However, Ash's skills are put to the test when he is thrown into a pit and successfully defeats two monsters, gaining the respect of Arthur's army and followers.
Ash soon discovers that he is considered the Chosen One - the one who will retrieve the powerful book called the Necronomicon. However, all Ash wants is to find his way back home. He finds out that the only way to return to his own time is by using the Necronomicon, so he embarks on a dangerous journey to the unholy land of the Deadites, where the book is located.
The battle between the living and the dead becomes imminent as an army of the dead rises to attack Arthur's fortress and reclaim the Necronomicon. Ash's only hope lies in gaining the support of Duke Henry the Red to aid him and Arthur in defeating the army of darkness.
As the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance, Ash must find a way to remember the crucial words, Klaatu Barada Nikto, to safely retrieve the Necronomicon and ensure his own survival. Full of thrilling action and comedic moments, Army of Darkness is a cult classic that showcases Ash's epic journey through time and his battle against the forces of evil.
