In Aliens in the Attic (2009), the Pearson family embarks on a summer vacation in Creek Landing, Michigan. Stuart Pearson, along with his brother Nathan and their respective families, settle into an old lake house they've rented. However, their peaceful getaway takes an extraterrestrial turn when the television image begins to malfunction.
Curious, Stuart's son, Tom, and his sister Ricky's obnoxious boyfriend, Ricky Dillman, venture to the attic to investigate. As they reach the roof, they encounter Tom's cousin, Jake, and stumble upon a destroyed antenna dish. Soon, they make a startling discovery - four aliens are preparing to invade Earth, armed with a mind control weapon that exclusively affects adults.
Imprisoned in the attic, the kids must find a way to rid the house of the adult intruders and uncover the aliens' weakness to mount a defense plan. With a mission to save the planet, the youngsters employ their wit and resourcefulness against the extraterrestrials.
