Details
Accepted (2006) follows Bartleby Gaines, a high school slacker who is rejected by every college he applies to. Feeling lost and desperate, he devises a unique solution to his problem - he decides to create his own university called the South Harmon Institute of Technology (S.H.I.T) on a neglected piece of property near his hometown.
With the help of his friends, Bartleby creates a fake website, admissions essays, and even a dean to give their institution an air of legitimacy. Much to their surprise, the fake university is not only accepted by unsuspecting students but also gains national attention.
As more and more students join S.H.I.T, Bartleby finds himself balancing the responsibilities of being both a student and a successful university founder. However, their secret is at risk of being exposed when Bartleby's father learns about the unconventional school and threatens to shut it down.
