In the small community of Sam Dent, a tragic accident shatters the lives of its residents, taking the lives of most of the town's children. A lawyer, named Mitchell Stephens, arrives in Sam Dent with the intention of exploiting the tragedy and inciting the anger of the victims' parents for his own financial gain. He encourages them to file a class action lawsuit against anyone they can hold accountable for the accident.
However, the community becomes consumed by their anger and struggles to move on from the devastating event. Blinded by their grief, they cannot find the strength to heal. The only exception is a young girl named Nicole, who is confined to a wheelchair after the accident. Despite her physical limitations, Nicole possesses an incredible courage and becomes a beacon of hope for the community.
As Nicole takes on the role of a leader, she guides the residents towards the path of healing. Her resilience inspires the town to let go of their anger and learn to forgive. Through her example, the community begins to come together and find solace in their shared grief.
