In the supernatural thriller Stir Of Echoes (1999), Tom Witzky (Kevin Bacon) undergoes a life-altering experience after being hypnotized by his sister-in-law, Lisa (Illeana Douglas). Soon after, Tom starts having disturbing visions of a young girl's ghost, becomes plagued by nightmares, and develops a heightened sense of smell. As these manifestations intensify, his friends and family become concerned for his mental stability.
Driven by an unrelenting curiosity, Tom decides to investigate the mystery behind the ghostly apparition. His quest uncovers a dark and eerie secret that has been hidden within his neighborhood for years.
