Two garbage men uncover a conspiracy involving illegal toxic waste dumping and decide to bring the whole operation down.

Details

In the 1990 film Men at Work, Carl and James are two easygoing garbage men who stumble upon a mysterious crime. While using his telescope to observe his neighbors, Carl witnesses a man harassing a woman. In an effort to intervene, Carl shoots the man with a pellet gun before he can harm the woman any further. However, Carl and James are shocked to witness two other individuals strangle the man and dispose of his body. Feeling frightened and potentially implicated in the crime, Carl and James decide to hide the body when it unexpectedly appears in one of their garbage cans.

As they attempt to solve the case on their own, Carl and James conduct surveillance on the woman, team up with a Vietnam War veteran with questionable sanity, and even kidnap a pizza delivery man. Along the way, they also find themselves becoming involved in environmental activism to protect the ecology.

Men at Work offers a comedic and entertaining blend of crime-solving, friendship, and unlikely heroes. With its quirky characters and unexpected twists, the film keeps viewers engaged as Carl and James navigate the dangerous and humorous situations they encounter.
