In the movie Prince of Darkness (1987), a sinister secret is hidden in the basement of an abandoned church in Los Angeles. When a priest from a mysterious sect dies, another priest unlocks the basement door and finds a vat filled with a green liquid. Seeking help, this priest contacts a group of physics graduate students to investigate the strange substance.
To their horror, the students discover that the green liquid contains the essence of Satan himself. They also learn that Satan plans to release his father, an all-powerful Anti-God, who will bring about the end of the world. As the liquid begins to come to life, turning some of the students into zombies, the Devil emerges and sets out to release his father.
Now, the fate of humanity rests in the hands of this group of graduate students. Will they be able to put a stop to the release of the Anti-God and prevent the impending apocalypse?
