Angel from Hell is a single-camera comedy series that follows the life of Allison, a young and organized doctor, when she unexpectedly encounters a colorful and brassy woman named Amy. Amy claims to be Allison's guardian angel and starts insinuating herself into Allison's life. At first, Allison believes Amy is just an inebriated and outspoken nut, but to her surprise, Amy's warnings start proving to be true.
Amy tells Allison not to tell anyone about their relationship, which makes it difficult for Allison to share this bizarre situation with her father, Marv, a sunburned dermatologist with whom she shares an office, and her younger brother, Brad, who lives in a guest room in her garage.
Despite Allison's initial hesitation, Amy persuades her that she's on a mission to provide helpful guidance and to prove herself as a true angel. Intrigued by the idea of having a strange friend by her side, Allison decides to give their relationship a chance.
