15 Minutes of War is a gripping action thriller based on a true story that takes place in Djibouti, Africa, in February 1976. A school bus carrying 30 French children is hijacked by Somali rebels near the border. The French government immediately dispatches the elite counter-terrorism unit, GIGN, to the scene, led by Captain Andre Gerval.
As the tension mounts, negotiations with the terrorists reach a dead end, pushing Captain Gerval to devise a risky and audacious plan for a rescue operation. With time running out and the lives of the children hanging in the balance, the GIGN team takes decisive action, vowing to bring the hostages home safely.
